"It would seem the places that have been loaned to us for an finite period of time must have stories to tell and lessons to share. Structures, native vegetation and the sandy, Southwest Florida soil that serves as their foundation conceal the ways of bygone eras that have shaped life as it is today. For the curious - those who revere the past as they build the future - unlocking those secrets can be as simple as listening to the rich voices of the past that have so much to share..." read more...

Trish was surprised to see a decorated Christmas tree on the porch. "I love Christmas and told her it was nice to see someone decorating so early in the season," she recalls. "Dorothy replied, 'Sweetheart, I've had that tree up for fifteen years. One Christmas, I couldn't bear to take it down, so it's been up ever since.'" Hearing this, Trish turned to Larry and whispered, "This is our Christmas Cottage..." read more...

"The vision started eveolving in the summer of 2009 when Porter Van Arsdale Construction President Larry Porter first set eyes on the villa that Canadians Gordon and Diane Craig had purchased in Interlachen at Pelican Bay in North Naples. Originally designed by an architectural firm founded by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in the 1980's. the two-bedroom, two-bath residence struck Porter as being tired, dark and out of date. The dining room and master bedroom had peculiat looking cone-shaped ceilings. The remainder of the home had eight-foot ceilings and the floors throughout the living areas were tiled..." read more...
